I have a good quality (aluminum) round outdoor table set, unfortunately the glass top shattered and I am looking for an inexpensive replacement option. Any ideas?(Replacement Glass is too expensive)

Wood! And easy to do too.

I agree with Naomie, wood is the way to go. You can stay round or even go square or rectangle without too much work, then paint or stain as you want it to look.
Check thrift stores, yard sales or habit stores for wood or an old table you really don't like the style (inexpensive or free). Easy to change a table top to the base you like.
If it is in a sheltered area, cover top with plywood and mosaic with scrap dishes or tile
Naomie is right, wood definitely. You might even be able to find some pallets for free.
