All pitted. Finish coat gone.
What should I do with this patio that won’t cost thousands of dollar

I am 67 and my husband is 80. We love sitting outside, but our patio has become so disgusting that it’s embarassing. The surface is very rough and pitted because the finish coat is gone. There are horrendous black stains all over it. No amount of scrubbing removes them.

Two large cracks. Pitted, stained, finish coat gone.

For a short term fix - vinegar. Drown the entire patio in vinegar, then with a bucket full of water and Dawn dish soap and a long handled stiff bristled push from, wash the patio and hose off and see what you have to work with. It should be much better. The vinegar will clean all the black spots.
Or you can power wash, then stain, which will fade over time, but at least it will look more like natural stone than a slab of concrete.
Paint it dark grey with cement paint then pour a clear epoxy over it..It will last for years and look great.. You tube has many do it yourself videos on this type of upgrade.
Find a gray Non-skid coating like Kilz Over Armor in textured slate gray for concrete at local hardware or large chain hardware store. Follow directions completely for best results.
