What can I underpin my newly built deck with?

I have a lovely deck built by my sons, but dislike looking at underside ground. No lattice please!. About 3.5 feet from ground to deck and 20 feet long.

if you have small children make a play area under the deck including play house, sand box, etc -

we used pampas grass then added variegated hostas in front of it. -

Once established I found ferns to fill in, look beautiful, and provide a screen under deck, they like shade. -

Hmmm, that sounds interesting, I have been complicating on a ornamental grass that is purple and does not take over or grow too tall. It resembles Pampas grass but not nearly as bushy or tall. Then add variegated Hosta's.Still thinking as I am 70 and want easy digging.

How about something like this? http://www.metalceilingexpress.com ;They're ceiling tile/panels. (Might be totally impractical...I don't know much about them. But it's the first thing I thought of. LOL) -
