We knew that we would get even more use out of our playset if we added a bucket and a pulley. What boy doesn't like using ropes to move sticks/rocks up and down? For under $20 and about an hour of our time, this project was a great one to start off the Summer.

For under $20 and an hour of our time, adding a bucket with a pulley is an easy add-on to your playset!
Gather your supplies. You will need: bucket, rope, carabineer, ring hook, cleat, and pulley.
Decide where you want the bucket to drop from. We centered the ring hook on the beam (far enough away that the bucket wouldn't hit anything but close enough so that a toddler could easily get things in and out of the bucket).
Put the pulley on the hook and then attached the hook in the beam.
We tied a knot around the carabineer to be able to attach it to the bucket.
Thread the rope through the pulley and then singe the end of the rope so that it doesn't fray.
Put a cleat inside the playhouse so that you can tie off your rope.
Add a bucket with a pulley to a playset for under $20! See more pictures and details on our blog!
