DIY Gift Box With Chalkboard Paint

How many ways to upcycle a cardboard about as a gift box. I needed a big box, for a big birthday gift for one of my friends. The closest thing in size was a cardboard box that I retrieved from work.
Sure it was a bit grungy and I had to remove some of the tape.
But all the box wording and ups labels were located in such a spot that I figured if I lined the edges of the box with Shape Tape and painted it with chalkboard paint, it would cover all the ugly stuff up.
Which it did, quite nicely. I did have to be careful when removing the Shape Tape, but otherwise, it gave a nice clean paint line.
Then I was able to write whatever I wanted on the "chalkboard".

I also punched a couple of holes in the top (using a pen) and added a rope tie.
I was thinking they could be painted any color, or used for any occasion, and it doesn't just have to be for big gifts, either!
