Remember, once you paint it, very hard to go back. You can use outdoor area rugs in seating areas to cosy it up. A more permanent solution is tiling it. Looks great !
If it's never been treated with anything, I'd recommend using cement STAIN instead of paint. The stains come in really cool colors to! You can get it at same places you get paint Home Depot Lowe's Etc . Good luck.

You could use some wood for example yo cover. Some people also use pallet wood
