I received a call from a client that this bookcase was sitting in the trash section of a UHAUL Storage facility. Solid wood, but missing the back. I immediately knew what I wanted to do with her...

I brought her back to my warehouse and applied two coat of Kristi Kuehl Pure Home Paints in Tahoe (the lightest grey), distressed her and applied a coat of the Clear Matte Protective Finish. Painted the hardware in Slate and reattached....

Next I took 5 Reclaimed Wood boards and did a white wash with White Linen over them. After they dried, I sanded them a bit and applied Ebony Protective Glaze.

Using my Brad Nailer gun I attached the reclaimed boards to the back. Now she is ready for staging on the floor!

She is absolutely STUNNING once again and SAVED from the landfill!

It won't be long and she will have a new forever home!

Just a thought, is there any way the writing surface could be a slide out from beneath the bottom shelf?
