Furniture Transformations

Do befores and afters set your heart racing? I know I can't be the only one who loves a good jaw-dropping transformation. I've been working with an awesome chalk-based paint company to produce some truly inspiring befores and afters.
First up, this was a boring oak laminate dresser that was destined for trash. I cringe when I see something this large go to waste. I knew it had potential! I primed with a nice oil-based primer, did a coat of black, and then 2 coats of frosty blue. I drilled new holes for the new oil-rubbed bronze pulls and then took some 220 grit sandpaper to the edges. Chalk-based paint is so easy to distress! I then sealed the piece with some natural wax. Can you believe it's the same?
This little bookshelf was a companion piece to the dresser and I followed the same steps. Crazy good, right? Totally shabby chic now!
This may not be that exciting, but the punch of purple on this chalkboard makes it look like a completely different piece! I didn't even use a full sample size of paint on this one!
And how fun would my laundry room be if I added some more punches of color?
I love the gold accents on this pink hope chest. You can tell in the before that it had great bones but needed to be brought into the correct decade. {bu-bye early 90s!} I didn't even have to prime this baby. 2 coats of vintage cupcake and she was gorgeous. I even put together a fun inspiration board to finish the space.
Do you do any furniture transformations? Where do you get good inspiration?
