My daughter asked me to paint a dresser and two nightstands she and her husband found for her baby's nursery. The whole room will be filled with wonderful, beautiful DIY projects. I love painting furniture and the transformation is wonderful!
This is the dresser before. It has wonderful lines and had been painted black with a little distressing here and just wasn't right for a little girl's nursery.
The crib and changing table are lovely and look stunning in the all white nursery. The area rug and accessories add the colors and beautiful feminine style to the decor...the dresser needed to be a soft, neutral to complement the room. She will be getting a soft-gray rocking chair so she asked me to paint the dresser a soft gray.
I selected Amy Howard At Home One-Step Chalk Paint in Chelsea Square. This is the perfect, soft gray. I spray painted the drawer hardware an antique gold to complement the curtain rod. My Son-in-law made the blanket ladder for all of the sweet blankets and comforters.
He also made this wonderful barn door for the closet. This gives the room a wonderful rustic look that balances the dark wood of the baby crib. He also made the shelf above the crib.
My daughter made this wreath from faux flowers and a hoola hoop!
Overall the room has come together beautifully. The DIY projects and soft feminine colors make this a charming nursery for a little girl.

The dresser came out beautiful. The whole room is amazing! Love the wreath. I made my spring/summer wreath using a hoola hoop.
