Foot pads for recliner loveseat?

We have a new loveseat and sofa with a total of four reclining seats. We want to be able move the loveseat and sofa to cleaning. Our old set had legs we could keep terry cloth pads under for easy moving. This new set has bars that seem to be right under the seats and seem to touch the floors. Would towels under the bars keep the laminate floor safe from scratches? Are pads available for these bars? What can I use? Thank you☺️

  • It sounds like the towels would work. You can also buy felt pads that stick on the furniture. I just got a set that has a larger sheet that can be cut to size...got it at the dollar store!

Thank you, Ann. I haven’t checked the dollar stores for a felt pad. I’ll put that on my shopping list. ☺️

There are silicon sliders for furniture feet, some are oblong in shape. Do you think maybe pipe insulation the grey type with a slit in the side could be put over the bars? They look like grey pool noodles and come in different diameters...you purchase by the piece not a package.

Thanks, Dfm! I know the insulators you mean. And gray won’t show as much as the colorful noodles I have. I’ll try that on the love seat first. ☺️
