Lateral filing cabinet

I am moving a lateral file, basic tan boring cabinet into my office which is industrial farmhouse style. Any easy ideas for making this look a bit nicer would be appreciated. Thinking of painting with chalk paint - black and doing something unique with the pulls perhaps? Would love to get input/ideas, thanks

Sounds like you have the right idea!! That's what I would do...maybe get a few cool vintage style magnets to put on it. -

Dollar store picture frames. Remove glass, painted the frame to match the cabinet and some magnets to the back and position on the drawer. It will look like decrative molding. -

Thanks, has anyone redone a lateral file with wood or paper? Just looking for ideas and pics if anyone has been successful -

Black chalk board paint looks awesome on these big beasts! I would paint the side that faces out, and if you can find a stencil or even contact paper for a brick look, I really think that would look awesome.
