This is the table in the closed position. How can I make new support bars so I can open the table up when needed
I was given a drop leaf table and hope to refinish it. When I took it home, I soon found out that the supports/bars to hold up the leaves to hold the top in the open position are missing. I need some help with ideas to make and install new supports before I refinish the table.

See if you can find one like it to see what was used at that time, to find one that will work. If you can see where the pieces were attached that will help you with what was used. I have seen ones where the pieces were metal and some that used wood or a combination of both.
