Kitchen, family room, living room - wherever you have space. I would display with photos, plants, whatever you already own, no need to run out and buy items. It is a lovely piece, lucky you!Helpful Reply -

Don't know if your husband would be open to this or not; I would paint the piece with chalk paint, distress it some and set it up for use as a coffee bar in your kitchen.Helpful Reply -

Don't paint that beautiful wood! But a coffee bar/beverage bar is a great idea. Great place for cook books too.Helpful Reply -

I go back and forth on painting the wood. I would like to at least switch out the hardware and saw off the little railings in front of the shoes. Anyone know where I could find some tall baskets to fit in those awkward shelves??Helpful Reply -

I would change out the handles for something a bit more modern. It's a small change but it can really update the look. Also if you stack the books horizontally so they're on they're or sides. Organize based on color of the binding and sizeHelpful Reply -

I agree with Elizabeth. Chalk paint and distressing would look great.Helpful Reply -
