in australia we have esp easy surface prep im sure you will have the same or similar you can basically put it on anything and it will allow paint to stickHelpful Reply -

Kilz, best primer there is. I hung wallpaper professionaly for 25 years. Many many times I've had to install over walls painted red, neon green,etc & Kilz never failed to cover in never over 2 coats. Just give it a good sanding, prime with Kilz & paint. Also you can ask mixer to tint to a color matches paint color & makes it that much easier. Have fun. Btw, am painting an old wooden bathroom shelf as we speak, part of it has multiple coats of paint, back & inside never had any paint. I am using a Waverly chalk paint (walmart)& doesn't look like I'm gonna need 2nd coat & all I did was hit it with fine grit sandpaper.Helpful Reply -
