Why is God’s name would you paint a beautiful wood headboard ?

It its the "trend" right now.... I would give it several good coats of shellac, lacquer, or clear sealer... before painting....that way it will be easier to strip later (it prevents the paint from penetrating the wood grain as much)Helpful Reply -

Sometimes it's a hard decision to make! There are some beautiful wooden headboards out there waiting for someone to do something with them! It all comes down to personal preference and what the current trend is.Helpful Reply -

Sometimes it is too dark, damaged or difficult to refinish as well. Too each his/her own.Helpful Reply -
