Cait from Little City Farmhouse used Simplicity, a painting sponge, and Natural Wax to give this chair a fresh new look! What do you think?
Hello readers!

I am popping in to share with you a project using one of my favourite new products from Country Chic – the painting sponge! I’m a narrow angle brush girl by heart, but the first time I used this sponge I was completely sold.
This chair was in good shape and didn’t need any prep other than a quick wipe down. I gave the chair three thin coats of Simplicity in the All-in-One formula using the sponge. The sponge applies the paint in a very thin, very smooth layer, so depending on the colour you use you may need an extra coat.
When it was dry, I gave it a light sanding to distress the edges and bring out the character and shape of the chair. The All-in-One paint doesn’t require an extra top coat (it’s built in!), but a piece like a chair can get more use and wear than other pieces might, and so I applied a light coat of clear wax for added protection.
Once dark and dated, this chair now has a bright and smooth coat of paint! Be sure to add a Painting Sponge to your next paint order! I promise you’ll love it!
