I tried it once and did not work for me. Moisture from the paint started to lift the paper from the wall and the seams showed thru. Luckily I noticed all this as I was doing the first wall. I ended up removing the wall paper (mist with water, wait, scrape or pull off) then painted. Was worth the extra work for me.Helpful Reply -
