How can I seal a mug I painted with acrylic paint?

I painted my friend’s dog on a mug from the dollar store using acrylic paint. I’m going to follow instructions I found online to let dry 24 hours and then bake it. But do I then need to seal it? I was looking at Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge, which would also give it a nice shine I believe?

great job on the cute doggie art work
No sealing needed. Once you bake it the paint is bonded to the cup.
Excellent portrait of your friends dog!!!!!
If you want you can modge podge just the painted area after you bake it. Or tape down from the lip of the mug about 3/4 to 1 in turn the mug upside down and spray with a clear sealcoat don't get any inside or where a person's lips would touch on the outside. Beautiful painting.
