How do you paint over chalk paint that has been waxed?

If the wax is on thick you might try lightly sanding it first. But I've painted directly over waxed pieces with Chalk Paint without sanding first. If you're using latex then you'll want to sand it first and then apply a primer coat.Helpful Reply -
