How to glaze furniture that has been chalk painted?

The piece has been chalked painted and sealed with wax. I’m pleased with the color (ASCP Coco) but it just needs something else. Thinking about doing a cream colored glaze. What needs to be done to ensure that the glaze will stick?

You need to lightly sand off the wax coating. The point of the wax is to help protect the finish. Glaze then wax over the finished product.
Sounds easy enough. Thanks for the information!
Yes just a light sanding to remove waxy layer is fine. Your glaze should adhere fine after that
