Hi Barry, very light hand sanding between coats with fine grit sand paper and do several coats of paint.
Have you tried using sponge paint brushes? They are great for not leaving brush marks. You can get them wherever paint or crafts are sold and they come in many sizes.
Foam rollers
The less you go back and forth over your paint as you are painting the less you will have for brush marks. Good brushes are also important.

Keep your brush full & wet and use a high quality brush. I like Wooster or Purdy.
First, use a quality paint, Purdy paint brush, and apply 2 coats.
