Any Ideas for painting plywood floors?

I've pulled the carpet up in our dining room. I would like to paint the plywood floors and maybe add a rug. I need some ideas. Thanks!

Suggest you check into the brown paper bag method of finishing off rough floors. Pretty, and prevents possibilities of splinters.
