Tips for painting High ceilings?

I have a very high ceiling in the stairwell to the basement. I usually paint it but it has become such a chore as I have gotten older. Any ideas what I can do to it?

You can use a paint sprayer to reach the higher out of reach walls and ceilings. The sprayers are worth the price and really not too expensive for their usefullness. Just be sure to clean it well so it doesn't get stopped up.
