My name is Mrs Blount. We're painting the interior of our home. I feel that the high vaulted ceilings will be challenging. So much so that I was considering hiring a professional, but then I noticed on TV that I'm seeing everyday people on the home shows painting with no issues. Can some one provide me with some painting advice? Thank you

TV always makes it look easy. You would probably have to use a 10' ladder (or scaffolding) so I would hire a professional who is licensed, insured and bonded.

We had a tall folding ladder that we could reach everything when standing on it in our old house that had vaulted ceilings, I think it was 10 feet. Painting sloped ceilings like that can be a pain in the neck... literally. Lol

    Hello Mrs. Blount!
Are you painting the ceilings and walls different colors? If so, are you proficient in cutting in straight lines where the 2 colors meet? If so, do you have a good sense of balance? If so, you can definitely do this yourself.
It will be much easier if you are using only 1 color for both wall and ceiling.

Everything looks easy on TV. They edit a lot of errors , mistakes, flubs, and oops. You think they get things right the first time?! they also fit the best parts for the time slot. If your not afraid if standing on a ladder at least 7'+. Keep your balance well. I have a collapsible painting pole that extends up to 20'. Threaded on the end to accept a paint roller frame. I also can tape a paint brush on the end for cutting in at the ceiling and walls.
