As long as you have the Ok from the landlord, paint! Just prep and prime well for a lasting finish. -

You will really like the freshness a new paint job will create...you should check with the landlord for appropriate colours, if you don’t want to have to repaint when you leave...if you paint with neutrals and keep the trim white, it might not require painting back -

If the landlord is agreeable and you are a skillful painter, go for it. Make sure there is an agreement as to who buys paint and who does the painting and if it is taken off monthly rental cost. Walls and baseboard will look so much better. -

Former landlord here. Had to be sure there was a skill level or risked disaster of dripped paint on hardwood, etc. Had to agree to repaint to original colours on move-out. If I though the room could use a fresh paint job, would pay for the paint and supplies. -

Whatever the agreement between you & your Landlord is, "Put it ALL in writing" & BOTH of you sign the document. That way, should there ever be a problem or issue, you won't be faced with a she said/he said situation.
