How to Repair paint spots on mate walls, my repair looks shinny?

I am helping my daughter on preparing her house to be rented and the walls are clear brown mate. But in the places that I repair holes etc, after repaint with the same kind of paint, it looks shinny🌅

Use a good primer on your repaired spots prior to painting, even if you are using a paint with primer, it should help. -

Did you just patch in paint job? Or cover paint the whole wall? And wiping down wall with Murphy's oil soap and water would help before painting. -

The spackle you used to repair the spots could be causing the paint to look different. Try lightly sanding over the shiny spot with a very fine grade sandpaper to see if it removes the shiny spots. -

If the paint doesn't have primer in it, you might try priming the spot first before painting. -

Agree with above statement, the cured but porous to paint application - spackle is absorbing the paint to make this repair more obvious. You need to use a primer to seal the spackle and then repaint. -

Old paint wears over time. New paint even the same color will look different. Prime the patch then paint. If it still looks shiny go over lightly with a green scrubby pad to remove the shine. -

Ok so I must prime all the wall and repaint or use medium grain sandpaper on all the wall, then repaint? Also I guess I must buy a big painting roll so I could do the job faster
