Sand lightly, tape it off around the wall and get out your paintbrush. Pretty straightforward.Helpful Reply -

If you use chalk paint, you don't really need to sand at all, just clean the surface first. Chalk paint adheres well and gives great coverage and a nice matte finish. You may want to go over it with a wipe on polyeurethane to protect it when you are done.Helpful Reply -

Chalk paint for the most part does adhere to most areas however a fine grit sandpaper might help. If it's a Fusion Mineral Paint, then just clean the area and you can paint away. If it's egg shell or latex, then a quick scuff and then paint away!!Helpful Reply -

I painted both Master bath cabinets and Hall bath ones years ago. Remove the doors as you will have to paint them on the front as well as the back...I used Paint + Primer in Satin finish two coats and never needed any Poly over it...finishes still look good after all this time...not a difficult job at all.Helpful Reply -
