Country Kitchen in Yellow
When we first moved in I LOVED the vibrant look in the kitchen and rolled with a slightly country theme,.. Over time though, it needed to go.
First thing was priming! Their Wall Prim is VERY important for the process. It provides the "tooth" needed for the Fresco lime paint to really adhere and do its limey reaction stuff. One quart was more than I needed for the entire wall! One coat provided amazing coverage,..

The first thing is using purified water and adding it to the fresco. It comes VERY THICK, you will want to add about 10% water to make it more workable-though you can add more to make a wash instead,.. I wanted a true Fresco wall so I opted for 10%.

They have this amazing brush I used to apply in a vertical motion. You will want to load up your brush well and brush it on without going back over it too much,.. just brush it on and keep moving!
From left to right I moved in 2(ish) foot sections

You can see the dimension that comes through once it dries! (from here you can seal it to give it a sheen if you like, I opted not to and actually ended up attempting it a few more times,.. )
This spiral was fun,.. to achieve this I began in the middle and cross hatched around and around...
The cloudy vortex.. (I felt like God was beckoning)
I ended up going back over that again in a VERY random pattern,.. this is a cloudy fresco.. lots of depth.
But I wanted to try again,.. different color, and only a wash. Very pretty but not what I wanted!
Again I would brush it on full strength in vertical brush strokes, moving from top to bottom and left to right,..

FINALLY I would land where I wanted!
My light, bright, earthy, zen space..
My perfect little study space...

Love me some slate grey! It is such a peaceful looking place. Earthy is an excellent description. I may have to try this some time. One question is with that swirl. We’re you just playing around when you applied it? I don’t see a swirl in the final product.
Can it be applied on top of wallpaper?
