I have a three year old musky dine vine and it has never had any fruit or even a sign of trying to bear fruit
Douglas Hunt on Dec 03, 2011Do you have only one muscadine vine, Dean? If you have only one and it is not a perfect-flowered variety, you will not get fruit because the female flowers do not produce pollen. See this article from the University of Georgia's Extension Service for a list of varieties and the type of flower they have, as well as general growing guidelines for muscadines: http://www.caes.uga.edu/applications/publications/files/pdf/C%20949_2.PDFHelpful Reply
Walter Reeves on Dec 03, 2011If it came up as a volunteer, it may never have many fruit. You're better to get a named variety from the publication Doug mentions.Helpful Reply
Paul M on Dec 03, 2011Johnson Nursery has some good varieties available right now. I just put 8 of them out about two weeks ago.Helpful Reply
