Looking for 3 ounce canning jars

Question

We are canning fig jam in small canning jars for guest gifts to take home from our daughters wedding. We have gone online to find these and have had no luck. We have actually seen these from another wedding. Is there an online source we can order from??

Thanks for the response Mary I!. Was just at Walmart and they only carry the 4 oz, and guests may not be able to take back on a plane per TSA regulations. I can find all kinds of traditional 4oz jars, but no 3oz.

Sia is correct, as we looked there as well. I am thinking since more people in the Midwest can food there may be a large Feed store type place that carries stuff like that?

@Chris May I ask you if you are looking for a particular 'style' of 3 oz canning jars? I know a couple of other places that may or may not have them, but they are pretty generic, so to speak, along the same lines as the Jar Store. Also, important at least for me to know, as I try and help. Are you going to be sending the Guests home with actual 'Canned' delectables? Or will you be using them for, say bath and body products etc. ? xo

We don't care at this point if the jar is a traditional looking canning jar or like the squatty one we found on the Jar Store site (we would have purchased that one but they are out of stock right now and we are waiting for a response when they will get some more). We have a fig tree, and our daughter loves the jam we make, so that is what we will be doing---canning fig jam, so it has to be a jar with lids we process through canning. The guests all need to feel comfortable being able to take the jar home even on an airplane being in the overhead compartment. Thanks for helping us in our quest!
