HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com are free referral services that verify and check the businesses they refer.... A reputable heating or air conditioning service can give you what you need... get several estimates.If you can afford it... get a unit that is bigger than what is recommended for the size of your home... less stress on the unit means a longer life... and get a 10 year warranty if they offer it. -

Ask if you can install it on the ground. An air conditioner will have water runoff that can ruin the roof if the hose gets a hole in it. The unit is also easier to repair if it is on the ground. -

BTW: it is recommended not to get an oversized unit - but one that is sized for your home's square footage. -
