Is it full of water? Get as much water out by filling a bucket and dumping into the toilet. Get all dishes out of sink. Use your hands to pull out anything blocking the water from draining. Pour apot of boiling hot water down the drain. Sometimes if it is hardened grease or fat, that might be enough to get things moving. Do it again. Nothing? Get the plunger. get a nice momentum going of pumping air into the drain. Pour some hot water in from faucet, maybe fill sink one quarter full. Plunge, plunge, plunge. If the water level drops even a small bit, your efforts are working. More boiling water, more plunging. Continue until it clears. If you have a drain snake you can move it down the drain to see if that works. If all else these efforts fail, you may need to call a plumber.Helpful Reply -

Try putting 1 cup of Baking Soda into the drain, then pour 1 cup of Vinegar into the drain, force the Vinegar down the drain by covering the drain hole with a stopper. I have used this method and found great results, plus you aren't using toxic chemical products that can damage existing pipes. Would be interested to know if you try it too.Helpful Reply -

I would try the baking soda and vinegar, but cut down the amount of the baking soda to a quarter to half cup to one cup vinegar. Let it sit until it is done fizzing, then follow with a gallon of boiling water to wash the gunk down. If doing this twice does not help you most likely will need to have the drain snaked because the clog may be further down the drain that the above can reach. Happened to me, clog was so far down it almost was out of the house.Helpful Reply -
