How to Install a Vanity Light

If you’re replacing your vanity lighting, this is a DIY project you can finish in a matter of minutes.

Since you’re working with electricity, cut the power to the room at the junction box.
Remove the old vanity light. When removing the wires, be sure to keep them separate.
Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the screws provided.
Connect the wires (white to white and black to black, with the copper wire attaching to the mounting plate), and secure them with wire caps. You may need an extra set of hands to hold the lighting fixture while you connect the wires.
Attach the new vanity light to the mounting plate. Be sure to tighten any adjustment screws on the mounting plate.
