How do I restore a worn out, synthetic leather sofa?

I have a small dog and she has trouble getting up on the loveseat where she spends 90% of the time. Therefore, as she makes her way up, she has worn out one side of the sofa’s cushion. How can I restore that one part? It’s a synthetic leather sofa.

At this point there is not much you can do other than toss a throw over it, or make or buy a slipcover. Once it wears out that's it. Some people have attempted to paint them, but I am not sure how that would turn out.
Hello Martha!

Martha, I've repaired this type of damage several times. I use a leather repair kit. It usually comes with several colors of liquid vinyl that you can blend for a color match. They have directions in the packaging for how to achieve common colors. This product works for leather and vinyl. You can buy them at Walmart or Amazon. Pretty much any discount department store. I think I used the 3M kit.
