You could try steaming it with a steamer or steam-iron until it feels soft, then shape it with rocks, as above, or something that is the right shape and heavy (can of paint, big cans of tomatoes....). Leave to dry. This works with battered hats, straw or felt, as well.Helpful Reply -

oh my that's sad, such a beautiful basket. I'm sure a basket weaver will have some idea for you. May have to take it to them. I think if it were mine, I would try to wet it and thy to reshape it back as best I could ....much like a straw hat ... maybe with a steam iron and cloth might help also, I just don't know, sorry I can't give you a answer for sure. blessings on your quest.Helpful Reply -
