Had a new roof put on an exstentsion in 2016 ,

Had the builder back approx 10 ten as its leaks really badly , its so stressful what can i do to get it sorted properly ?

Hire an attorney to write a letter to the contractor. No one ever wants to go that route, but sometimes it is necessary. Be extremely specific about dates, times, visits and attempted repair that obviously is not correct. File complaints through your local authorities and Better Business Bureau. If you use social media, hop on and give honest review so other people know this company is not the best.

HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com will have a verified contractor that can help you fix what the other guy screwed up...

Try filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or through the Contractors Licensing Department of your city's Building Department

You can also call/email a local TV station about your problem. Many have a consumer investigative department. Builders, contractors, companies, do not want bad press.

Get him back again and ask him to re-do the entire roof, otherwise you will sue him

That was my next question. Was it guaranteed? I do think that usually you aren’t supposed to do anything yourself because it might negate the warranty but I don’t know that for sure. It’s fristrating for you I know. Have you already paid for the work in total?

Yes paid when job was finished a year ago but then it was mid summer and dry , the problems started when we have had heavy rain .

If it doesn't then get your lawyer to say if you have to get it done by someone else he will be getting the bill. + all costs. Otherwise look into Insurance cover. Does the Builder have it or do you?
