Do you have doors in your home that have knobs or levers that are just not fitting with the style or decor of your home? Or are the knobs just inadequate and just plain ole broken? You don't have to live with that. Here is how you can change your interior door knob in about 10 minutes. Yes, it is just that easy. The only tools you will need are a Phillips and a flat head screwdriver.

All you need is a replacement knob or lever that matches your room's style and decor and a phillips and flat head screw driver. No drill required. In fact, I say put it away for this job. It's much easier to handle this drop with the bare min.

The old painted over door knob/lever
1st unscrew the knob.
remove the knob.
unscrew the latch.
remove the strike plate
Install the new latch.
install the knob by pushing in the latch
screw in place
Attach the new strike and you are done.

What if the strike plate area is too small? What took is used to make the strike plate area larger? I want a door knob with a key lock on a bedroom door. It's an outdoor door knob with a larger strike plate.
