How can I put in an easy and inexpensive backsplash?

I have old knotty pine cupboards and wallpaper on the walls. I just refinished the countertop myself and want to put up a backslash but I am not a handyman ( woman) is there an easy backslash I can do and not expensive:)

Look at washable, waterproof wallpaper. I use Steve's blinds n wallpaper. You don't need much so it's affordable. Look at the brick or stone ones. I'm using a beautiful gray brick look. Pix doesn't do it justice. I'm going to use it on one full wall and then do the backsplash too. Can't wait, I'm retiring in a couple months and have many projects awaiting me, can't wait, or did I already say that lol.
I used stick on glass tiles I bought at Lowes. The squares were small so it was easy to fit and no grout needed. I bought and inexpensive pair of glass trimmers to cut.
Faux tin tiles from home improvement stores. Lots of styles and finishes are available online. I am thinking of either that or anaglypta (sp) wallpaper for mine, and will highlight the raised design with another color.
I have peal & stick. Looks great and nobody knows the difference.
Nice countertop! I would also recommend peel and stick backsplash "tiles". They're about $7 each and you just cut them (with scissors) to fit and stick 'em up! What could be easier? They have a lot of styles - check out as many websites as you want until you find something you like. All are super easy to clean, too. Wish they had them 20 years ago when I was tiling my own kitchen.
