My kitchen backsplash have the original tiles on but I want to change the color without having to tore down the old tiles. I really like the stick on ones that look like real tiles but not sure if I can do that.

You probably could. But I would be concerned with any kitchen grease causing them to not stick. How about painting them? Or stenciling them? google this.

Before you put the peel and stick tiles up, try painting the ones you have different colors, what have you got to lose, you can just cover them up if you don’t like them.

NO! All tile even peel and stick need a smooth and solid surface to adhere. Any variation of the old tile will transfer to the new. Also the added weight of new tile over the old can cause the tiles to tear off the wall.

I agree with the suggestion to paint the tiles: we had some nearly identical 2x2in Pepto-Bismol pink tiles on our backsplash for the past 20 years, and when we finally updated the kitchen, my painter simply painted them with a neutral greige and I love it! Ask at your local paint store for which formulations work on tile, and be sure to clean super-well and lightly sand before starting!

Hi, yes, just make sure your standing tile is really clean (i.e. Alcohol) and, have some extra glue handy. However, the peel n stick comes in specific sizes and you may find that they're not the same size as your tiles and then it won't work. You need a perfectly flat surface for them to adhere to.
