How can I make kitchen splashback tiles cheaply

I love the tiles that are available for splash backs in the kitchen but don't want to spend $200-$300. Is there a way of making something that looks like tiles myself? I need something very easy to work with too. Thanks.

Hi Sally they make backsplash tile now that comes in sheets and is actually plastic but it looks SO REAL. You just peal the back off and stick it.- See 2 previous

Luan cuts easily and can be applied with glue or a couple of nails. The can be caulked between to look like tiles and painted. -

Hi Sally, I think they sell it on Amazon too if you wanted a chance to just go and browse on your computer :) I did a search on Amazon for "peel and stick backsplash" and a TON of options came up. Hope that helps! -

Hi Sally. I put up a peel and stick wall paper as my backsplash. It has the appearance of subway tile. It was easy to apply and has held up great! You can check out mine here http://beautyforasheshome.com/faux-subway-tile-backsplash/
