Where do I buy faux ceiling tiles to replace popcorn ceiling?

Most home improvement stores carry these tiles. Cost is dependent on the size, thickness, design and store, so I can't help you with that. You may need additional hardware to attach the new tiles.

That is a huge room. I grew up in a house that size.

Home Depot, Lowe's, and other lumber and home stores sell ceiling tile. They are all faux. Price depends entirely on the tile you choose. I'm seeing $1.50 to $5 and sometimes higher per square foot. You will need to nail up furring strips to attach the tile or glue them up, depending on the tile you choose.

Before making a decision, read your homeowners insurance policy. Many carriers will not cover damage if styrofoam ceiling tiles are installed. If in doubt, call your agent and get something in writing before proceeding.
