Sealing vinyl floor tiles question

I currently have vinyl peel-and-stick tile on my kitchen floor. Previously, there was laminate "wood" flooring. It was ruined when the hose for the ice maker came off the back of the refrigerator. When the "handyman" removed the laminate and replaced it with the vinyl peel-and-stick tile, he put it directly on the adhesive that was left from the laminate. The adhesive comes up between the tiles and I have to use Krud Kutter or WD40 to remove it. Is there something I can use to seal the vinyl tile to prevent the adhesive from oozing up between the tiles?

  Thanks. I found I can get it at HD or Lowe's. The handyman was a local yocal, a friend of a friend. I no longer use him. He screwed up too many projects that I had to have redone or finished.

He should have removed the adhesive. Nothing you can do to prevent it. I'd call him and have him fix the problem.

  Unfortunately, when I advised him I was not going to use him anymore, he became irate and told me in a threatening manner that "you will regret it". I felt it necessary to call the police and he was told not to come onto my property again. It takes all kinds.

Also, stick on vinyl tiles are NOT waterproof. You will need to be extra diligent in cleaning up spills

  Heavens, I've used peel-n-stick tiles for years. Never had an issue with them. But I certainly did the wood laminate. Won't ever use that again in my kitchen. What a mess!
