A Permanent Flower 'bed' for My Backyard
Use it a a trellis for vining plants, so beautiful.
If the pieces come apart you could hang them on a fence and it could look really pretty as a trellis for vines. :)
You could build a raised bed to fit between the headboard and footboard. Fill it with lots of flowers - some that trail to cover the sides of the raised bed.
Hello it might make a attractive trellis or fencing in a cottage type garden.
You’ll want to spray paint it with exterior enamel first, unless you want it to rust.
My cousin cut the frame so that it was only 3' from the headboard to the footboard then set in the yard, dug into the ground on 4 corners. She planted climbing roses and they grew up both the head and foot boards.
It would be pretty as a trellis! I would spray paint it a color to make it pop or blend (whatever you prefer) in your yard. You could plant some lower growing flowers/plants at the base of it.
Hi Vickie, you should be able to do something like what is in the attached link, and it will look wonderful!

Recycled Flower Bed
Hello there,
Errect the frame where you want it in the garden and then make a box to fit where the mattress went. make holes in the base of it for drainage and then fill with gravel.
Fill with soil and compost and thenplant your flowe r bed.. You may want to line the box with plastic to prevent rot..
I would paint it in a bright color and then I would tuck it into a corner of the yard and plant wildflowers, some climbers, place a bird bath in the middle and perhaps some stepping stones.
