How do you make something handy with wine corks?

Have a bunch of saved wine corks and would like to made something with them. Put them to good use.
Suggested Project Book
Cut them in half lengthwise and glue onto a rug base to make an absorbent bath mat that not only absorbs but is soft on the feet. Looks like a high end spa mat.

I made pumpkins, painted in various shades of orange. I tried to send a pix, didn't work.

I'm trying to send this pix of pumpkin.
The rows of corks range in count from 5,6,7,6,5. The stem is a champagne cork, upside down. Paint just the ends of corks in different shades of orange. Hot glue together. Not my original idea, I saw it on Pinterest and I copy very well!
