Think about centerpieces, using them for candles or flowers, you can create height by adding glass candle stick holders for the base. -

Using as drinking glasses for iced tea. The metal rings and flat disks that cover them can be bought separately and used as name cards for seating arrangement. Use a Sharpie or a piece of paper to put the name of the disc glue the disc inside the ring . If you have a variety of glass plates and metal chargers you can arrange a tablescape of Glass and Metal placing the name cards on the center of each plate -
