How can I use left over shards of glass?

I do stain glass and i have left over shards of glass and i dont want to throw them away, what can i do with them? Can i melt them somehow? They are so pretty. I have an entire garbage can of glass in all different colors

You can melt them, in a kiln or try a firepit method (youtube). Exploding glass due to impurities would be a concern. You could spread them out on a form and fill it with clear resin to make tabletops, suncatchers, trivets, etc.

If they are not sharp I could see them sprinkled on top of a plant bed or put in plates on the ground in a garden to make a near focal point. Not sure if it would burn plants getting hot but on a plate would be fine. Sounds very pretty.
Make stepping stones, make designs in the cement to look like mosaic using your pieces of glass. You could also take a clear cylinder type vase, on the inside around the sides put the glass pieces then add either a candle or flameless candle inside. I think the light coming through the colored glass would look pretty.
