crush to a fine consistency and spread them around your tomato plants -

I put them in with my compost for my garden. Sometimes I just throw the shells in and till them with the soil. -

If you crunch your egg shells up, you can spread them in and around your plants and trees. This will help to enrich your soil by putting enzymes back in to it. Coffee grounds and banana peels will do the same thing. -

Your plants outside will like the calcium from the eggshells. -

I use them in my garden around tomato plants as tomatoes need extra calcium. Some wash them before crushing and use them in crafts. -

My Mom taught me to use them at the base of hostas to keep slugs from damaging the plants.
