I am assuming that you mean broken.... There are tools for fixing Light strings... Amazon has them. The next thing you need to know is what type of replacement bulbs you need... there are places on line that sell all types of bulbs for all types of light strings... the tag or box should tell you what bulb type your string(s) use (mine are C9)
Just as an FYI... I always make it a policy, when buying Christmas Lights, to buy at least one extra string... if one strings breaks... I can cannibalize it (bulbs, gloves, etc) to fix the other strings.

  • I'm not sure what you mean. Are they broken or just burned-out?

If the bulb is broken, most lights can be replaced. The strands don't cost much anymore (especially during the after-christmas sales) so maybe get new if you can't replace the bulbs. I know certain bulbs are impossible to find.

Really? Somethings should be thrown away. If you recycle them into something they may shatter and then you are dealing with glass clean up.

you could always take the Glass bulbs out and hot glue other decorations where the bulbs goes and that would keep the decorations equally spread apart. Really shouldn’t tell anyone they should just throw something away. Only limitations to recycling is your own imagination! People come up with very beautiful creations from what many people would consider garbage all the time. Even if it’s not beautiful to you, doesn’t mean someone else won’t find beauty in their projects they make! A person could even cut up Christmas light wires and make smaller light strings if they choose to or use short pieces of the wire to make loops for hanging decorations. Uses are limitless, long as your not limiting your own imagination?
