Vintage Colander turned Succulent Planter

I, like most of you, have seen the re-purposed colander before. My take is certainly Hometalk inspired. When I spotted the vintage royal blue speckled enamelware colander at a yard sale, I knew exactly what it's new purpose would be.
I found a prepotted succulent assortment on sale for $5. The colander was a yard sale find for a buck! And I spent a few dollars on a bag of pea gravel.

Succulents need good drainage, so I filled the bottom 2 inches with pea stones. I arranged the plants reusing the soil that came in the pot.
I adore succulents, and I love to re-purpose old things. Hopefully, I am paying forward some inspiration too!
