Paint the Door!

My daughter asked me to help her make her front porch a little more inviting. She and her husband live in a little fixer-upper in a quaint, little college town. This is a "starter" home for them and they are busy making as many cosmetic fixes as they can to the interior of the home on a typical limited young family budget.
So I said: "paint the door!"
As you can see, the front door had never been painted! Her husband had bought this house when he was a bachelor and when he installed the new door, he didn't even think to paint it.
What a difference!
For less than $10 for a sample pot of paint, the difference is quite dramatic.

So pretty and what a difference! Maybe over time they can paint those chippy posts and the small slat fence at the end of the porch in a warm white to brighten it up even more!
